What do I say?

What do I say? More like what, isnt there to say? Working on this project was a life changing expeirence because of all of the communication between people around the world. If you think about it, its kind of crazy thinking that a bunch of teenagers from around the world could communicate and create a page or summary over the topic they were given to research. Which also ties into global collaboration, because in my group were a bunch of kids from differnt countries. I also learned about a lot of new digital tools such as the diigo bookmarking. Diigo is a toolbar that you install that lets you digitally "bookmark" a website. So what this tool bar does is if you bookmark a website you can just go click on it and go there, also you can highlight certain phrases paragraphs or sentences that you want to go back and look at.

Big Little Classroom

1. I believe this keynote speaker called her video "Big Little Classroom" because she may have a small classroom in reality but with all the collaboration she does online through video calls and other things with people around the world it makes her digital classroom huge. With how much she collaborates with people around the world it makes it seem like all the kids she talks to are all her students.

2. The biggest piece of technology used at this school would probably be the netbooks that every students has and they use them to skype and talk to people around the world.

3. Some of the techniques she uses are she will actually videochat with people around the world and try her hardest to talk to other schools about things.

4. I think that this is true because you learn a lot from people that dont live in the enviroment as you. Like in the video they videochatted with people who had just had a huge earthquake and were kind of nervous about going home because they had a high tsunami rate.

5. I think that it is important to make real life connections because without real life connections you would just be talking about things that you read that could be fake. So if you didnt make real life connections its a possibility that what your talking about might not even be real.

Microsoft Office OneNote Review

Microsoft Office OneNote is Microsoft's way of taking notes. When you first go into OneNote it comes up with a blank page with two tabs at the top. You can open new tabs and label them. The Tabs would be like your subjects in a notebook. Whenever you would need to take notes on a different subject you would just click on the tab that you would need to take notes in. Also you can do things like screen clipings where you click on the insert button click on screen clipping button than you drag a box over the picture and it posts it in your notes. This would be very helpful and useful for like a diagram or a table that you saw online.

OneNote can also be used on many different devices. You can use it on the Ipad, Ipod Touch, and also Blackberry devices. This program is different from other Microsoft programs because it is built for taking notes. There are programs you could use for taking notes like Word or excel but this is built for only taking notes.

It could benefit business professionals in meeting because if they are sitting in a meeting they can just type the notes because a lot of business professionals can type faster than they can write so it would be easier. Also it can be used on all apple devices and blackberry devices. I think that this program is better than Evernote because it is easier to keep everything organized.

my favorite websites

So this blog that I am posting today is about my three favorite websties to use. I would have to say my number one favorite webstite that I use is YouTube. I use YouTube multiple times a day. I use YouTube to watch music videos or just listen to songs I dont have. YouTube is also used for just looking at funny videos that other people have posted, like the most famous video Charlie Bit My Finger. Those are the reasons YouTube is my favorite website.
My second favorite website would have to be My Life Is Bro. I like this website because its just a bunch of funny things bros post.
My third favorite website would have to be my church webstie wdmumc.org. This is the website I check to figure out everything thats going out in my church

Hi, my name is Jason Carver I am currently a sophmore at Valley High School. I am also currently enrolled in a class called Digital Communication Tools. During this class we look at stuff like the difference between taking notes by hand or on a app/website called Evernote. We also compare taking notes on Evernote with a Ipad and on the computer to see which one kids like more. We also look at a lot of statistics like that there are 200 million people on the web and 750 million of them are on facebook, or that there are more people that have access to a mobile phone than rather than a clean toilet. In this class we look at how technology can help us grow and become smarter.

On a day to day basis I use a lot of different technology. Everyday I use at minimum a computer, a Ipod, my phone, and also my Xbox. I use my computer to get on facebook to keep with with my friends and see what their doing as well as my family I have on facebok. I dont know what teenager that  could go a day without listening to music which is why I use my Ipod everyday. I use my phone to talk to friends I am always texting. Than at home I like to just hangout and play some Xbox.

Just think about how much technology you use in one day.
